Today I have for you something very special..a recipe! As a baker, I am always looking for fun new creations to bring into my kitchen and try. Today, this recipe comes from Sweetapolita! Her blog is just the cutest thing ever!
My friend came over this afternoon and we went shopping for the ingredients needed for this recipe. We decided to stop by Wal-Mart's Photo Center so I could print out a few photos of my boyfriend and I to send him (<3!). We literally sat there for about twenty minutes trying to download the photos from my iPhone to the system, but having an iPhone 5 it just wouldn't connect (sad day!). So we continued with our shopping and went back to my house - only to realize we forgot the parchment paper!
One Target trip later and we're in the kitchen preparing for an amazing recipe! The recipe we used can be found here! It was such an easy recipe to follow and it was super quick to prepare!
Things you'll need:
Things you'll need:
- 6 ounces dark melting chocolate
- 12 ounces white melting chocolate
- 1 tbsp. of white cake mix
- Sprinkles (whatever kind you want!)
- Parchment paper
Instructions:
- Take a sheet of parchment paper and place it on a baking sheet. Set aside.
- Place the dark chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl and microwave for 20 second increments. Stirring with a silicone spatula in between.
- Once the dark chocolate is completely smooth and melted pour it onto the baking sheet and spread with the silicone spatula. Put in the freezer for 20 minutes.
- Melt the white chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl using the same method as the dark chocolate.
- Take 1 tbsp. of white cake mix and whisk into the white chocolate. Let sit for 3 minutes until it has thickened.
- Once the dark chocolate has been in the freezer for 20 minutes, take it out and pour the white chocolate over the dark chocolate and spread with a silicone spatula.
- Decorate with the sprinkles of your choice!
- Once decorated, put the baking sheet in the freezer for another 20 minutes.
- Once the 20 minutes is up, take the baking sheet out and break apart immediately.
I hope you enjoy this recipe, it was so delicious and so much fun to make!
